The Sukagawa City Shakado River Fireworks Festival, held in late August in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, is one of the largest and most spectacular fireworks displays in the region. Drawing large crowds from both near and far, the festival features impressive fireworks set to music. While the area near the launch site can get crowded with heavy traffic, many visitors enjoy the show from more distant spots along the river.
