Takebe Taisha Shrine, also known as Takebe Grand Shrine, is one of the oldest shrines in Omi, enshrining Yamato Takeru. It's known as a power spot for good luck in battle and career advancement, especially after Minamoto Yoritomo prayed here before re-establishing the Genji clan. The shrine also features Ohno Shrine, believed to bring good fortune in matchmaking. Don't miss the annual Funakosa Festival on August 17th. Located in Otsu, Shiga, it's accessible by bus from JR Ishiyama Station or a short walk from Keihan Karahashimae Station. The shrine offers free parking and charges a small fee to enter the treasure hall.
