Komachido Hall is a vermilion-lacquered hall dedicated to Ono no Komachi, a famous female poet of the Heian period. Located in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, it's believed to be her birthplace. The current hall was rebuilt in 1995, modeled after Byodoin Temple. While it may be quiet at times, the Komachi Festival in June brings the area to life with many tourists. Nearby, you'll find shops where you can rent Heian-era kimonos. The hall is easily accessible from Route 13, near a roadside station, making it a convenient stop for travelers exploring the area.
