Cape Tategasaki Observatory

Overview

The Cape Tategasaki Observatory, located in Jodogahama, Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture, offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding coastline. From this vantage point, visitors can see Hideshima Island, the only breeding ground for the Swinhoe's storm petrel in the Eastern Hemisphere, as well as the rugged Omoto Peninsula.
