Maruo Falls is a unique waterfall where the hot spring waters of Einoo Onsen and Iou Valley Onsen converge. This dynamic waterfall is easily viewed from the roadside, making it a popular stop for tourists. The emerald green basin and the steam rising from the falls create a distinctive atmosphere. In autumn, the illuminated fall contrasts beautifully with the surrounding autumn leaves, while winter brings a misty, ethereal view. Located along National Route 223 between Maruo Onsen and Kirishima Shrine, it's a must-see natural attraction in the Kirishima area. Parking is available for about 7 cars.
