Located a short 8-minute walk from Mito Station, Kodokan Park is a serene historical site featuring hundreds of plum trees. The park incorporates the Kodokan building and is divided by earthen mounds, housing historical relics and shrines like the Hachigado, Confucius Temple, and Kashima Shrine. Don't miss the plum grove, which is especially beautiful during the plum blossom season. The park also offers barrier-free access with facilities for guide dogs, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, and ramps. Kodokan itself requires an admission fee (Adults: ¥400, Children: ¥200), but the rest of the park is free to explore.
