Zentoku-ji Temple, founded in 1368 by Ashikaga Takauji, is a serene Rinzai sect temple located near the Taiheiki-kan in Ashikaga. While the main gate is typically closed to the public, access is available through a side entrance, leading to the main hall and bell tower. The temple features a meticulously maintained karesansui (dry landscape) garden with carefully arranged stones, moss, trees, and a pagoda. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere reminiscent of Kyoto's temple gardens. Located close to Ashikaga School, it offers a glimpse into the area's rich history.
