The Rainbow Pine Grove (Nijinomatsubara) is one of Japan's three major pine groves, stretching approximately 4 km in length and 500m in width along Karatsu Bay in Saga Prefecture. Planted by the first lord of the Karatsu domain as a windbreak and tide barrier, the grove features black pines that have been shaped by the sea breeze into a beautiful, arching form. Visitors can stroll through the pine forest, enjoying the views of the sea and sand. It is easily accessible, a short walk from JR Nijinomatsubara Station and JR Hamasaki Station. A great place for a relaxing walk and enjoying nature.
