Yuki Shrine in Tsu, Mie Prefecture, is dedicated to Yukichika Munehiro, a loyal subject of the Southern Court. It's best known for its stunning weeping plum blossoms (shidare ume), which attract many visitors, especially from mid-February to mid-March. The shrine grounds feature around 300 weeping plum trees, creating a beautiful spectacle of pink, red, and white flowers. Don't miss the impressive bronze komainu (guardian dogs), said to be among the largest in Japan. Located in Fujikata, Tsu City, the shrine is accessible by bus from Tsu Station, followed by a short walk. Consider visiting early during plum blossom season to avoid crowds.
