Himi Nisen'ishihara is a stunning expanse of Sasa grassland located on the slopes of Mt. Kamegamori in Saijo, Ehime Prefecture. At an elevation of 1,897 meters, this natural landscape offers breathtaking views and a refreshing escape. To reach this scenic spot, take a 60-minute bus ride from Iyo-Saijo Station, followed by a challenging 5-hour hike. The best time to visit is in July when the Sasa grass is lush green, or in August when it's in full bloom. The contrast of the Sasa grassland with the Shirabegashi fir trees creates a picturesque scene that's a must-see for nature lovers and hikers.
