Yugama Crater Lake, located at the summit of Mount Shirane in Kusatsu, Gunma Prefecture, is a stunning emerald-green volcanic lake. This unique landscape, with its otherworldly beauty, can be viewed from designated observation points. Note that access may be restricted depending on volcanic activity. The lake is accessible via a 35-minute bus ride from Kusatsu Bus Terminal. Be prepared for a 20-minute uphill walk to the observation point.
