The Former Namikanzaki Torodo Hall, a historic lighthouse in Akashi Port, offers a glimpse into Japan's maritime past. Though no longer in operation, this cultural property, dating back to the Edo period, is one of the oldest existing lighthouses in Japan. Recent renovations have restored its wooden framework, and it's now illuminated at night. Located a 15-minute walk from JR and Sanyo Akashi Stations, it's easily accessible. While visiting, enjoy the scenic views of Awaji Island and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Note that the surrounding area is a popular fishing spot, and parking can be limited, especially on weekends and holidays.
