Mitsumine Shrine, located high in the mountains of Chichibu, Saitama, is a revered spiritual site with stunning natural surroundings. Founded in 111 AD by Prince Yamato Takeru during his eastern expedition, it has long been a training ground for mountain ascetics and a center of worship. The shrine is known for its unique three-torii gate, guardian wolves instead of the typical komainu (lion-dogs), and the ornate main hall. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Chichibu mountains and experience the serene atmosphere. Access is via bus from Seibu-Chichibu Station or car, but be aware of potential traffic and icy roads in winter. The shrine is also known as a 'power spot' for matchmaking.
