Rakujuen Garden, located just south of JR Mishima Station, is a lush 71,850 square meter park designated as a natural monument and scenic spot. Originally built in 1890 as a villa for Prince Akihito Komatsunomiya, it features natural ponds fed by Mount Fuji's snowmelt and diverse flora, including trees grown on lava flows from a Mount Fuji eruption 14,000 years ago. Visitors can also see a mini-zoo with red pandas and other small animals. The Rakujukan building is open to the public six times daily.
