The Hinatami Yakushido Hall, located in the Hinatami Onsen area of Shima Onsen, is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. This charming, small temple features a thatched roof and dates back to 1598, making it one of the oldest religious structures in Gunma Prefecture. Legend says the temple originated when a traveler was told in a dream that the local mountain god would provide a hot spring to cure all ills. Visitors can also see the Okagomori-do, where pilgrims once purified themselves before bathing in the hot springs. Nearby attractions include the Goyumoso no Yu bathhouse and a foot bath, making it a perfect spot to experience the history and healing traditions of Shima Onsen. The hall is accessible by bus from Nakanojo Station.
