Namari Onsen is a secluded hot spring retreat in Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, known for its natural beauty and therapeutic waters. The main attraction is the standing bath, Shirabu no Yu, a unique 1.25-meter deep hot spring where the water bubbles up directly from the source. Located in the Hanamaki Minami Onsenkyo area, the only lodging available is at the historic Fujisan Ryokan, offering a traditional Japanese experience. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and multiple bathing options, including open-air baths along the Toyosawa River. A free shuttle bus is available from JR Shin-Hanamaki and Hanamaki Stations, making it relatively accessible for a secluded onsen. Note that Shirabu no Yu has designated hours for women only.
