Ōe Church, also known as Ōe Tenshudo, is a Romanesque-style Catholic church built in 1933 by French missionary Father Garnier in collaboration with local parishioners. Located on a hill in Amakusa, it offers scenic views of the surrounding town and sea. The church is known for its striking white exterior and beautiful interior featuring stained glass and unique window decorations. Visitors can explore the grounds, which include statues of Father Garnier and the Virgin Mary. Note that photography is prohibited inside the church. The church is accessible by car with limited parking available, or via a walking path from the Amakusa Rosario Museum.
