The Iseido Dai Site is a large-scale ritual site from the late Jomon period (approximately 4,000 years ago), located on a plateau 40-45 meters above sea level. Discovered in 1995 during excavations prior to the construction of the Odate-Noshiro Airport access road, it features stone circles, arranged stone structures, pit-house building remains, earthen pit tombs, and disposal sites. Designated as a National Historic Site in 2001 due to its well-preserved condition and high academic value, the site is free to enter for all visitors. Located a 15-minute drive from Takanosu Station, the site is easily accessible and offers a glimpse into ancient Jomon rituals. The adjacent Iseido Dai Jomon Museum provides further insights into the site's history and significance. Best time to visit is during the day to explore the outdoor stone circles.
