Located atop Mt. Terakoya in the Shiga Kogen Central Area, Terakoya Ski Resort offers stunning panoramic views stretching from the Northern Alps to the Hokushin Gogaku mountains. Known for its excellent snow quality, it's a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders. The resort features four slopes with a mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced runs, plus a terrain park. With a restaurant on-site, visitors can easily spend a full day enjoying the slopes. Access is via the Higashitateyama Gondola or from the Ichinose area. Note that the resort is open seasonally depending on snow conditions, typically from mid-December to early May.
