Shouraikaku, located in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, is the former residence of Yonosuke Hirazawa, the founder of Asahi Shuzo brewery. This unique building blends traditional Japanese architecture with Art Deco elements, such as round windows and stained glass. Visitors can explore the meticulously designed rooms, including a Buddhist altar next to the guest room. Shouraikaku is open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, but closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, as well as during the winter season (December 1st to the end of March). It's a great place to experience a fusion of architectural styles.
