Jokokuji Temple, founded in 1630, is a historic temple in Obama, Fukui Prefecture. It is closely associated with Jokoin (Lady Ohatsu), the wife of Kyogoku Takatsugu and daughter of Oichi. Visitors can view a valuable portrait and writings of Jokoin, as well as her gravesite. The temple also features wall paintings in the study hall that evoke its prosperous past. Located a 15-minute walk from Obama Station, Jokokuji offers a glimpse into the area's rich history and cultural heritage. Parking is available for 30 cars. Admission is ¥400 for adults.
