The Okabe House, designated as an Ishikawa Prefecture Tangible Cultural Property, is steeped in history, tracing its origins back to Okabe Rokuyata Tadazumi, a retainer of the Kamakura shogunate who distinguished himself in the Battle of Ichinotani. The Okabe family served as Tomura officials for the Kaga Domain. The house offers a glimpse into the lives of those who supported the Kaga domain. Located in Hodatsushimizu Town, it's accessible by a 30-minute walk from JR Nanao Line Shikinami Station or a 10-minute drive from the Imahama IC on the Noto Satoyama Kaido. Admission is ¥500 for adults and ¥200 for children, with discounts available for disabled individuals. It's a great place to visit in the afternoon to learn about the local history.
