The Statue of Taisuke Itagaki is located within Kochi Castle Park, near the Otemon Gate. Itagaki, a native of Kochi, was a prominent political figure in the Meiji era, known as a leader of the Freedom and People's Rights Movement. The statue depicts Itagaki in his later years, with a dignified pose. It's a great spot for photos with Kochi Castle in the background. Visit during the day to fully appreciate the statue and the surrounding castle grounds.
