Manza Onsen Yubatake

Overview

Manza Onsen Yubatake is a natural hot spring source located in the mountains of Gunma Prefecture. Unlike the more developed Yubatake in Kusatsu, Manza's offers a raw, untouched landscape with strong sulfurous odors and steaming vents. Visitors can view the vibrant, blue-green hot spring from a distance due to safety restrictions. The best access is via the Manza Kogen Hotel or Manza Prince Hotel, with a short walk from the bus terminal. Be aware of potential wildlife and bring a bell to ward off bears. The area is particularly scenic when surrounded by snow in winter and spring.
