Mt. Anba, located north of Kesennuma City, is a 239-meter-high mountain offering panoramic views of Kesennuma Bay and the surrounding area. Known as a symbol of Kesennuma, it's easily accessible by car, with a road leading close to the summit. Visitors can enjoy a short hike of about 20 minutes to the top, where there's an observation deck. The mountain holds significance as a place of refuge during the Great East Japan Earthquake, and it offers a poignant reminder of the area's recovery. Don't miss the Dragon Staircase near the parking area and the scenic viewpoints at "Hinode no Terasu" and "Hoshi no Terasu."
