Mount Iimori is a poignant historical site in Aizuwakamatsu, offering panoramic city views. It's known as the place where the young Byakkotai warriors tragically took their own lives during the Boshin War. Visitors can explore the Byakkotai graves, monuments, and the Byakkotai Museum to learn about their story. The Sazae-do Hall, a unique wooden structure, and the Tonokuchi Irrigation Canal are also worth visiting. You can reach the summit via stairs or a paid slope conveyor. Allow at least 1.5 - 2 hours to fully experience the site.
