Harimaya Bridge, once famous for the tale of a monk buying a hairpin for his love, has been rebuilt several times. The Horikawa River was filled in, and the area is now Harimaya Bridge Park, featuring a recreation of the river's flow and monuments to the lovers Junshin and Ouma. Located in the heart of Kochi City, it's easily accessible, a short walk from Kochi Station or via the Tosaden Tramway to Harimaya Bridge stop. While some consider it a minor attraction, it's a convenient stop while exploring the city, especially when transferring on the Tosaden Tramway. The bridge's red railings make for a quick photo opportunity, and the park offers a pleasant respite. Visit anytime during the day to capture its charm and learn about the local legend.
