Located at the Mt. Utsukushinomori Observatory in Kiyosato, Yamanashi, the Mt. Utsukushinomori Observatory Shop Yamanoue offers a delightful rest stop with scenic views. Open from late April to early November (9:00 to 16:00), this shop is known for its rich, delicious soft-serve ice cream made with Jersey milk, which is available at an affordable price. The shop also sells souvenirs and provides a free rest area on the second floor. Note that the shop is closed on rainy days and during the off-season (mid-November to mid-April). It's a perfect spot to enjoy a treat while taking in the panoramic views of Kiyosato Plateau and the Southern Alps after a short 12-minute walk from the parking area.
