Sanko Inari Shrine

Overview

Sanko Inari Shrine, located near Kakegawa Castle's Otemon Gate, is a small but historically significant Shinto shrine. Founded by Yamauchi Kazutoyo, the lord of Kakegawa Castle, it features vibrant red torii gates and banners. Visitors can easily access the shrine from the Otemon parking area. It's a quick stop offering a glimpse into the castle's history and a peaceful moment of reflection. The shrine is particularly beautiful when the surrounding area is lit up in the evening.
