Gorilla Rock is a unique rock formation located off the coast of Tokunoshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, that strikingly resembles a gorilla's profile. Situated near Kametsu, it's easily visible from the prefectural road 80 when traveling south from Kametoku New Port. The rock, sometimes humorously adorned with a sago palm 'hairdo,' is a fun roadside attraction. While there's no dedicated parking, it's a quick stop to appreciate this natural oddity. Depending on the tide, you may be able to walk closer to the rock via steps leading from the road to the sea. Be cautious when parking and enjoy the view!
