Mount Kiyosumi, the main peak of the Boso mountain range, is an ideal destination for hiking enthusiasts. Located in Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture, and accessible via a 20-minute bus ride from Awa-Amatsu Station, the mountain offers scenic trails and spiritual sites. Visitors can explore Kiyosumi-dera Temple, one of the four sacred temples of Nichiren Buddhism, and enjoy panoramic views from the summit. The mountain is also known as one of the earliest spots in Japan to view the first sunrise of the year. Be aware that access from Awa-Kominato may be restricted due to landslides; check conditions before visiting. The best time to visit is during clear weather to maximize the views.
