Fuki Falls, located near the Komasa-daira Observatory in the Miyagi Zao area, offers a stunning natural spectacle. The falls cascade down a 97.5-meter drop, fed by the waters from Okama crater. Visitors can access the falls via an 85-minute bus ride from Shiroishi Station on the Tohoku Main Line, followed by a short 5-minute walk, or a 50-minute drive from the Shiroishi IC on the Tohoku Expressway. The area provides parking facilities. The best time to visit is during the autumn foliage season, though the falls are picturesque year-round, sometimes framed by lingering snow in May. Be prepared for strong winds and potentially cold temperatures, especially when approaching the observatory.
