Hokubo Firefly Park, located in Maniwa City, Okayama Prefecture, is renowned as one of the best firefly viewing spots in the region. Situated along the Bitchu River, the area was selected as one of the "100 Best Hometown Biological Habitats" by the Ministry of the Environment. From early to late June, visitors can witness the mesmerizing dance of Genji fireflies. The park features exhibits explaining the life cycle of fireflies. Easily accessible, it's a 10-minute drive from the Hokubo Interchange on the Chugoku Expressway. The best time to visit is in the evening to witness the fireflies' enchanting glow.
