Mount Tōno, also known as Mount Tonotake, is a popular peak in the Tanzawa-Oyama area, known as the central mountain for hiking. It's also called Mount Sonbutsu. The mountain's name comes from the Sonbutsu Rock, once located on its north side, revered locally as 'Oto.' The summit, now marked by a stone shrine, enshrines Koryusonbutsu, reflecting the mountain's history as a rain-prayer deity. Located in Togawa, Hadano City, Kanagawa Prefecture, it's accessible by a 15-minute bus ride from Shibuzawa Station. The peak stands at 1491 meters, offering panoramic views and a rewarding hiking experience.
