Hinokuma Jingu & Kunikakasu Jingu Shrine, collectively known as Nichizen-gu, is a unique site in Wakayama City where two shrines reside within the same grounds. Just a minute's walk from Nichizen-gu Station on the Wakayama Electric Railway Kishigawa Line, this historical site is easily accessible. The shrine is known as one of the oldest in the area, with a history dating back over 2600 years, and is revered as the first shrine of Kinokuni. Visitors can explore the tranquil, forest-enclosed grounds, which exude a mystical atmosphere. Note that photography is prohibited in certain areas to maintain the sacred ambiance. Open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, a morning visit offers a peaceful experience.
