Mount Kaba, located between Sakuragawa and Ishioka in Ibaraki Prefecture, is part of the Tsukuba mountain range and stands at 709 meters, making it the second highest peak after Mount Tsukuba. This mountain has been a site of mountain worship since ancient times. At the summit, you'll find the main shrine of Kaba-san Shrine, while at the base, there is a beautifully decorated worship hall. Popular among families, it offers easy hiking trails with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy scenic views, including the Kanto Plain and even Mount Fuji on clear days. Note that the road to the top is quite narrow, and parking guidance may be provided by the shrine staff.
