Explore the historic Tonomachi Horiwari in Tsuwano, a charming castle town easily accessible with a 10-minute walk from JR Tsuwano Station. Stroll along Tonomachi Street, where you'll find well-preserved Edo-era buildings, including the Tsuwano Catholic Church and the former domain school. The area is known for its picturesque canals filled with over 400 colorful koi carp, offering delightful views, especially when illuminated at night. Visit from late May to mid-June to see approximately 3,000 irises in bloom. Wheelchair rentals are available at the Tsuwano Tourist Association and the Tsuwano Town Hall. The canal stretches for 0.2 km, providing a serene and scenic experience.
