Anakannon (Shobataka No. 1 Tomb) Kofun

Explore the Anakannon (Shobataka No. 1 Tomb) Kofun, a circular tomb featuring one of Tottori Prefecture's longest horizontal stone chambers. Originally housing 33 Kannon statues to commemorate a land reclamation project in 1780, only the pedestals remain today, as the statues have been moved to a nearby location. Located in the town of Iwami, easily accessible by a 20-minute bus ride from Iwami Station followed by a short 5-minute walk from the "Hirano-guchi" bus stop.
