Yasaka Shrine, the main guardian shrine of Sawara, is known for its summer festival, one of the three major festivals of the Kanto region. Located a short walk from the historic town center and next to the Suigo Sawara Dashi Kaikan (float museum), the shrine features a serene atmosphere. While the main hall may seem modest, the shrine holds significant local importance. A monthly antique market is held on the first Sunday of each month. Note that there is no parking on site, but the Dashi Kaikan offers free parking nearby. It's a great place to experience a traditional Japanese shrine.
