Situated alongside streets lined with traditional white-walled buildings, this shrine offers a tranquil escape. Don't miss the cultural pond to the south, believed to be the outer moat of the former Fukushima Castle. The shrine hosts the Yame Fukushima Toro Ningyo puppet shows, an Intangible Cultural Heritage, around the Autumn Equinox. You might even catch a traditional Shinto wedding ceremony.
