Mount Kita Okusenjo, the highest peak in the Okuchichibu Mountains, offers stunning panoramic views despite its relatively low profile. Accessible via a short 10-minute hike from Mitsunagidaira on the Kokushi-ga-take trail from Daikanbo, the summit rewards visitors with vistas of the Northern Alps. The mountain is reachable by car from Yamanashi City Station (90 minutes), though the road to Daikanbo is closed during winter (December 1st to May 31st, subject to change based on snow conditions). A hidden gem, it's a worthwhile detour when climbing Mount Kokushi.
