Founded in the mid-Heian period, this temple houses important cultural properties such as a wooden eleven-faced Kannon statue from the early Heian period and a Fudo Myoo statue from the Kamakura period. Visitors can explore the temple grounds, including the Hokkaku-do hall and the path dedicated to Myokaku Shonin, the inventor of the Japanese alphabet. The temple is easily accessible from the "Yamashiro Onsen" bus stop or a short drive from the Kaga Interchange. The best time to visit is during the fall when the foliage adds to the scenic beauty.
