Muramatsu Park, established in 1906 to commemorate the Russo-Japanese War, is celebrated as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots. The park features approximately 3,000 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Yoko Zakura varieties. Visitors can enjoy picnicking under the blossoms, exploring playgrounds, and experiencing illuminated cherry blossoms at night. In March, see the Erythronium japonicum along the promenade from Atago Mountain Observatory, and in autumn, enjoy the vibrant red maple leaves. The park also includes facilities like an outdoor stage, observation deck, children's playground, pool, and sports fields. Located in Gosen City, Niigata Prefecture, it's a 15-minute drive from Gosen Station on the JR Ban-Etsu West Line.
