Iwai no Sato is a museum preserving and exhibiting valuable cultural heritage artifacts excavated from the Yame Tumulus Group, including the Iwatoyama Tumulus, the largest keyhole-shaped tomb mound in northern Kyushu. Located in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, it's easily accessible by a 30-minute bus ride from Nishitetsu Kurume Station. The museum showcases stone figures and offers an informative video about Iwai and the Iwai Rebellion. Open from 9:00 to 17:15, closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and during the New Year period. The museum is fully equipped with barrier-free facilities, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and ramps, and welcomes guide dogs. It also serves as the finish point for the Kyushu Olle Yame Course.
