Mikuni Sunset Beach, located in the northwest of Mikuni Port, is known for its shallow waters, making it a popular destination for families with children. Every year on August 11th, it serves as the main venue for the Mikuni Fireworks Festival, one of the largest in the Hokuriku region. During the season, it also becomes a marine resort for yachting and windsurfing enthusiasts. The beach is easily accessible, just a 5-minute walk from Mikunikō Station on the Echizen Railway. Note that parking is paid during the swimming season. It's a great spot to enjoy the sunset over the Sea of Japan, and nearby, you'll find the Mikuni Onsen Yua Port for a relaxing hot spring experience.
