Kashiwaya Main Store, located near JR Koriyama Station, is the flagship store of a renowned confectionery known for its delicate, thin-skinned 'usukawa manju,' one of Japan's three great manju. These modestly sweet, bite-sized buns are filled with a generous portion of red bean paste, making them a perfect souvenir. The store offers a wide variety of both Japanese and Western sweets, including limited-edition items. While the demonstration of manju making and fresh-fried donuts are temporarily unavailable, visitors can still enjoy complimentary coffee while browsing the selection. It's an ideal spot to pick up a taste of Fukushima's traditional flavors.
