The Murata Seifu Memorial Hall Misumi Sanso commemorates Murata Seifu, a key figure in the late Edo period who laid the groundwork for the Meiji Restoration through his reforms. The museum showcases his life and achievements, along with those of Shufu Masanosuke, through artifacts and documents. Adjacent to the museum is the Misumi Sanso, Murata Seifu's former residence, where he spent his early and later years. This historic site, along with Murata Seifu's grave on nearby Mt. Ohtoshi, is a nationally designated historical landmark. Visitors can explore the traditional Japanese architecture and learn about the history of the Choshu domain.
