Nyohouji Temple, located a 15-minute walk from Koriyama Station, is renowned for its collection of ancient monuments. The temple features the oldest stone pagoda and board-shaped stone pagoda in the Tohoku region, designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan. Visitors can also explore the Nyohouji Shoin and the unique bronze bell, also nationally designated Important Cultural Properties. The "Shichinichido Mairi" festival, held from the night of January 6th to the 7th, attracts many visitors from in and outside the city. The temple grounds also feature beautiful Japanese gardens and impressive gates, offering a serene and culturally rich experience.
