Kibi Daijin Shrine

Overview

Kibi Daijin Shrine, located in Yakage, Okayama Prefecture, is dedicated to Kibi no Makibi, a scholar and statesman of the Heian period. Adjacent to Kibi Makibi Park, known for its large Makibi statue, the shrine is a popular destination for students praying for success in their studies, similar to Tenmangu shrines.
