The 128th Mito Plum Festival

Overview

Visit the Mito Plum Festival at Kairakuen and Kodokan to see approximately 3,000 plum trees of 100 varieties and 800 trees of 60 varieties in bloom, respectively. The festival typically runs from mid-February to late March. Kairakuen is accessible by a 20-minute bus ride from JR Mito Station North Exit or a 20-minute drive from the Mito Interchange. Kodokan is an 8-minute walk from JR Mito Station North Exit or a 30-minute drive from the Mito Interchange. Enjoy the beautiful plum blossoms and various events during the festival.
